Bashar leads Schwab’s cybersecurity organization, responsible for design, engineering and execution of cybersecurity and IT risk management roadmaps for the firm. Under his leadership, they implement forward looking strategies to stay ahead where possible of evolving risks and threats, which include advancing identity-based and zero trust architectures and maintaining a more mature technology risk management framework. Bashar previously served in a variety of technology and business leadership roles including risk management, product management, software development, architecture and technology operations.
