Join fellow FS-ISAC members from across Asia-Pacific for two full days of learning, collaboration, and networking. 

Summits are our largest events of the year, packed with insightful presentations, workshops, and panels on topics relevant to the security of the global financial services industry. 

Highlights 

Relevance 

The synthesis of cybersecurity and the financial sector distinguishes FS-ISAC Summits from other large industry events. The APAC Summit is specifically designed for cybersecurity professionals in financial institutions.

Content 

Sessions are divided into three tracks – Intelligence, Security, and Resilience – so that you can focus on the most pressing issues in your organization today.

Participating in exercises increases resilience. Take part in our half-day, in-person Tabletop exercise, "Artificial Intelligence Impacts on Markets and Public Confidence," on 10 July.     FS-ISAC_KristopherFador-BofAKristopher Fador is Chief Information Security officer for Bank of America. He leads a team of more than 3,000 experts across 17 countries dedicated to protecting the financial data of the company’s individual consumers, small- and middle-market businesses and large corporations.

    The Global Information Security (GIS) team defends against current and future threats to the company, and partners closely with industry and government associations to ensure the security of the sector as a whole. GIS inventors have filed or been granted more than 1,000 cyber security patents, and the team has been recognized externally for their efforts, including Hot Company Security Team of the Year in 2022 and Most Innovative Security Team in 2023 from Cyber Defense Magazine.

    In his prior role, Kris led the cybersecurity operations team, including Cyber Security Defense, Cyber Security Assurance, Cyber Crime Prevention and the Business Information Security Office.

    Kris has been a board member of the Financial Services – Information Sharing and Analysis Center (FS-ISAC) since 2019, and currently serves as chair of the audit committee. He is a passionate advocate for closing the gender gap in technology and serves as co-executive sponsor for Bank of America’s Women in Technology & Operations organization, having previously co-chaired the employee advocacy group.

    He is a graduate of Lake Forest College, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and history.

    david-geeDavid has just formally retired in 2024 and commenced his new career as Non-Executive Director, Board Advisor, Author & Strategic Consultant.

    He has over 20+ years’ experience in CIO and CISO roles across different industries and countries.  Most recently was Operations Risk Executive for one of the world's biggest infrastructure asset managers.

    David joined Macquarie in 2021 and was responsible to provide technology, cyber and data risk management globally for the Group.

    Prior to joining Macquarie Group, David was at HSBC where he was Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) responsible for 19 countries in Asia Pacific that account for 80% of HSBC global profits.  

    At HSBC, David was also globally responsible for driving cybersecurity culture at HSBC. His team is built a 'human firewall' to protect the bank by developing this security culture mindset. This includes cyber awareness training for 270,000 Staff, 17,000 Developers, Board & Executive briefings globally and External Business Clients.

    A natural ‘change agent’, David has experience as a CIO across Asia Pacific, Japan, Australia/NZ and USA.  In his last CIO assignment as SVP and CIO Metlife Japan he was responsible for 1,200 IT resources that provided service to 8 million customers. 

    He was winner of CIO of the Year 2014, at CUA (Credit Union of Australia) where successfully completed a significant Transformation with new Core Banking, Online and Mobile Banking systems all being delivered along with a total infrastructure revamp.

    David has a strong fintech background as Board Advisor and Venture Capital Partner.  He has served as a Partner-level IT consultant with KPMG, EY and ICG.   

    In 2022 he completed Australian Institute of Company Directors GAICD training and now is on Advisory Board for Sekuro.  David also serves as Chair for the FS-ISAC Strategy Committee and was awarded Global Leaders Award in 2023 for his contributions to the industry.
