Gary Owen is Wells Fargo’s Chief Information Security Officer and Head of Information Security. He oversees identity and access management, security engineering, line-of-business engagement, and cyber defense and monitoring.
Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Gary served as chief information security officer at WarnerMedia with responsibility for global information security strategy, technology risk management, information protection, and compliance.
Gary is a previous chairman and vice chairman of the Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center (FS-ISAC). Gary regularly works with U.S. agencies on issues like critical infrastructure protection.
Gary received a bachelor’s of science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Vermont. He is based in New York City.
