FS-ISAC UK Becomes Steward of the UK’s Financial Sector Cyber Collaboration Centre (FSCCC)

Expands threat intelligence sharing and strengthens incident response capabilities across the UK

LONDON, ENGLAND, 18 November, 2025FS-ISAC UK, the member-driven, not-for-profit organisation that advances cybersecurity and resilience in the global financial system, is proud to announce its stewardship of the Financial Sector Cyber Collaboration Centre (FSCCC), a key node of public-private incident coordination for the UK financial sector that is integral to the UK’s cyber response as part of its Sector Response Framework.

As FSCCC’s steward, FS-ISAC UK operates daily sector-wide intelligence sharing to prepare the sector to defend against systemic threats. During incidents, FSCCC convenes the private and public sectors to share real-time information and mitigation guidance.

"With nearly a decade of operations here in the UK, FS-ISAC and its members have long understood that advancing the security and resilience of the UK’s financial sector is critical to the stability of the entire global financial system,” said Burim Bivolaku, Chair of FS-ISAC UK's Strategic Subsidiary Board and Business Information Security Officer at Intercontinental Exchange. “The increasing complexity and velocity of cyber threats demands closer collaboration than ever before, and FSCCC enables trusted intelligence sharing and collective response capability the sector needs now.”

All UK financial institutions are eligible to join FSCCC to improve their security and resilience, including timely incident response communications and notifications of critical security issues and mitigation guidance.

Andrew Nye, Head of the Sector Resilience Division at The Bank of England, said, “Combining expertise and resources under a trusted entity ensures that we can anticipate emerging risks and respond effectively, which is critical to combat the cross-border, cross-sector nature of evolving cyber threats.”

“This collaborative effort is the result of a shared commitment and dedication among all partners to strengthen cybersecurity and safeguard the overall integrity of the UK's financial system, including the Authorities, the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), the National Crime Agency (NCA), the Bank of England and the UK Finance Sector’s Cross Market Operational Resilience Group (CMORG),” said Duncan MacKinnon, Executive Director for Supervisory Risk at The Bank of England and Co-Chair of CMORG.

“FS-ISAC’s role in intelligence sharing and incident response will help ensure that FSCCC continues to serve as a critical resource for managing systemic cyber risks and improving collective cyber response capabilities,” said David Raw, Managing Director of Resilience and Cyber at UK Finance and Co-Chair of CMORG.

William Hoffman, Head of Cyber Risk and Compliance at Citi and Co-Chair of CMORG’s Cyber Coordination Group (CCG), said, "FSCCC is a powerful example of how cybersecurity is a team sport, especially in an increasingly complex threat landscape. Through enhanced intelligence sharing and coordinated incident response, we are reinforcing the safety and resilience of the UK's financial sector."
