FSARC to become ARC and expand focus on resiliency of U.S. energy sector

Reston, V.A. (October 30, 2020) – The Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center (FS-ISAC), an industry consortium dedicated to reducing cyber risk in the global financial system, today announced the spinout of its subsidiary, the Financial Systemic Analysis and Resilience Center (FSARC). The spinout will facilitate the evolution of FSARC into a newly created entity, the Analysis and Resilience Center for Systemic Risk, Inc. (ARC), a cross-sector organization designed to mitigate systemic risk to U.S. based national critical infrastructure entities, initially from the financial and energy sectors.

“We are proud of the role FS-ISAC played in standing up FSARC and proactively responding to demands for focused collaboration among designated critical infrastructure entities,” said Jerry Perullo, Chief Security Officer at the Intercontinental Exchange, Inc., and Chairman of FS-ISAC. “With that mission accomplished, we are excited to see the evolution into the ARC and we look forward to collaborating with them.”

FS-ISAC and ARC will continue to work together where appropriate.

"We are excited to be contributing FSARC to this important U.S. specific multisector resiliency effort,” said Steve Silberstein, CEO of FS-ISAC. “We will continue to invest in serving our members with advanced cyber intelligence sharing for both large and small institutions globally."
