FSCCC, the UK's Public-Private Incident Coordination Service

FS-ISAC UK is the steward of the Financial Sector Cyber Collaboration Centre (FSCCC). The mission of FSCCC is to ensure that the UK financial sector and its relevant Authorities are aware of potential systemic cyber threats and to coordinate effective incident response and communications for awareness and security preparedness against these threats.

FS-ISAC UK employs the base principles of coordination and cooperation in its management of the FSCCC service and is committed to ensuring all participants in the UK financial sector have the critical information necessary to protect their firms and customers during an ongoing incident.

With our dedicated UK-based intelligence staff, we are committed to the partnership FSCCC represents for the sector, informing the Authorities and working towards the safety and security of the sector against systemic cyber threats.

Three core functions of FSCCC

Coordinate the sector during a major incident or crisis

  • Management of industry emergency calls (FinECCs)

  • Outlining and refining trigger protocols and testing processes to ensure smooth operations during incidents

  • Coordinating communications with all relevant sector bodies per the Sector Response Framework

Monitor threats that could present a systemic risk to the UK sector

Through operation of the Fusion Cell, a body of threat intelligence professionals from the sector’s most mature cyber programmes.

Extend critical security guidance and awareness to the entire sector

Including non-FS-ISAC member firms through the creation of a free programme eligible to all UK-based financial firms. These firms can receive critical vulnerability notifications with mitigation guidance, major incident alerts, incident call (FinECC) invitations, and all FSCCC branded output.

How to access the benefits

For non-FS-ISAC members based in the UK

FS-ISAC has also expanded its publicly available guidance, drawn from our Working Groups and staff expertise, on the Knowledge section of our website.
