Can I participate as an individual during an FS-ISAC Cyber Range Exercise?

FS-ISAC Cyber Range Exercises are intended to be a team activity; FS-ISAC recommends a minimum of three people per team, with 3-5 people per team being an optimal size. Please note that we cannot accept changes or substitutions; additionally, we cannot provide refunds.

How do I give a teammate access to the registration?

Each participant must register individually through FS-ISAC. If a team member does not have an FS-ISAC IntelX Connect account, the team member should send an email from their corporate account to admin@fsisac.com, requesting “credentials to access the IntelX platform to register for the Cyber Range.” Include a note that if FS-ISAC needs authorization, they should contact your firm’s POC (point of contact).

Can I transfer my registration to someone else?

No changes, refunds, or substitutions are permitted.

I registered for the upcoming Cyber Range but have not received any event information or invitation. What do I need to do?

Event access information and invitations are sent out one week before the Cyber Range. If you do not receive the invite after this time, please reach out to us at exercises@fsisac.com.

Who are the Cyber Ranges designed for, and do they require prior experience?

Our Cyber Ranges are technical exercises designed for beginner to intermediate level network defenders. However, they are meant to challenge even those with more experience.

What can I expect? What is the structure of the exercise?

One day prior to the exercise, you will attend a morning briefing from FS-ISAC on the topic of the exercise to set the tone of the activity. It will be recorded and available for reference and for anyone unable to attend.

You plan your team’s schedule. Ranges are scheduled to be played during a two-day period. The Range activities will take hours, but the exercise is open longer so your team can play when they are all available, and work schedules allow.

Your team will be defending against a simulated attack. A hotwash and feedback survey will be provided on the day following the end of the exercise. For more information, please contact us at exercises@fsisac.com.

Is there any prep work I need to do for the Cyber Range exercises?

No, there is no required preparation prior to the exercise. However, about one week before the Range, we provide you with optional activities to help orient you to the environments used throughout the exercise.

Can I receive a certificate of completion for the Cyber Range exercises?

Each Cyber Range provides six hours of credit for continuing professional education. FS-ISAC will email you a certificate to complete within seven days of the event.

How much does a Cyber Range cost?

A Cyber Range is priced at $495.00 per person.
