Join FS-ISAC for Cybex Paladin 2027, a two-day functional exercise designed for small-to-mid-sized financial institutions to evaluate responses to operational disruptions. It provides hands-on experience in managing, communicating, and recovering from realistic, high-pressure threats. Cybex Paladin 2027 will focus on impacts associated with operational resilience in the age of frontier AI.
This scenario challenges participants to respond to a compromise associated with frontier AI. Participants must navigate manipulated outputs, possible data exposure, contaminated down streams, and loss of confidence of AI-services. A hotwash will follow on 19 February 2027. Separate registration is required - please see below for details and a link to register to the hotwash.
Who should participate?
FS-ISAC Membership Tiers 5-8
Senior resilience, cyber, technology, and risk leaders are encouraged to participate in the exercise. This exercise will focus on exploitation of newly discovered vulnerabilities, supply chain compromise, market misinformation, and more!
Who should register?
Each organization must register and identify at least one Lead Planner and at least one Lead Player.
- The Lead Planner will be responsible for managing the exercise planning team and planning for the internal team.
- The Lead Player will have an active role in the exercise by either discussing or performing regular roles and responsibilities in response to the scenario.
All other participants from your organizations may play but do not need to register.

What time is Cybex Paladin?
Cybex Paladin is an exercise where participants from all three regions play. It simulates real-time actions across multiple functions, capabilities, or processes across the organization. Therefore, the exercise will take place from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. within the participants’ local time. Participants will not be expected to play outside their normal work hours.
Hotwash - 19 February 2027
Following Cybex Paladin 2027, please join us online for a hotwash to discuss observations, lessons learned, and action items the sector can implement or address to enhance sector resilience. Those who should participate include lead planners and lead players, although all are welcome to join.
The hotwash will be conducted via a virtual meeting on 19 February 2027 from 11:00 a.m. -12:30 p.m. ET. You can register here (this registration is separate from the exercise registration and required to participate in the hotwash).
