Attend our hands-on-keyboard exercise in which participants with beginner to intermediate knowledge of incident response, and defensive security skills observe and respond to a realistic defensive scenario.

You are tasked with investigating suspicious activity within your network. Although no users report anything unusual, multiple Elastic Security alerts occur, prompting investigation.

You know very little about the incident at this stage, although based on the number of alerts and sudden increase in events, it’s unlikely to be a false positive.

You will verify that the alerts are genuine and identify as much information about the incident as possible to help inform decisions and ensure the right action is taken to resolve the incident.
