Steve Pugh has served as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) of Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. (NYSE:ICE) since September 2021. He leads the cybersecurity program for all of ICE, including the New York Stock Exchange, securing critical economic infrastructure across multiple subsidiaries, geographies, and regulatory jurisdictions. His scope encompasses regulated futures and options exchanges, central counterparty clearing houses (CCPs), trade repositories, equities venues, digital asset custody operations, and systemically important financial market utilities (SIFMUs).

Prior to joining ICE, he served as Chief Security Officer at Twilio and before that as Chief Information Security Officer of the White House Military Office. He brings more than 25 years of experience spanning cybersecurity, national security, and intelligence.

A military communications aide under three U.S. Presidents, Pugh served a 23-year US Air Force career spanning 12 years of active duty as a cyber warfare officer and 11 years in the US Air Force Reserves, including a deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He holds a Bachelor of Computer Science from Valdosta State University and a Master of Management from the University of Phoenix.

He serves as a board member of the Atlanta Police Foundation and Savvy Cyber Kids, which focuses on cyber safety education for preschool through high school students.
