Carsten Scholz has been the Global Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for Allianz Group for over a decade, leading global governance and initiatives in information and cybersecurity. He is a member of the FS-ISAC EuroBoard, chairs the German Financial Services Cybercrisis roundtable and is actively engaged in further forums and initiatives to build capacity with peers. Since joining Allianz in 2009, Carsten has held various leadership roles across demand (Operating Entity), supply (Shared Services), and governance (Group) sectors. In 2012, he took on the global responsibility for Cyber Risk Management and Information Security at Allianz. Prior to his insurance industry tenure, Carsten gained extensive experience with international companies in the manufacturing, food, and chemical sectors, as well as in the military in signal intelligence and electronic warfare. Carsten holds a diploma in physics with a minor in informatics from RWTH Aachen University.
