With more and more employers seeking certified software developers, The IEEE Computer Society proudly announces the Certified Software Development Associate (CSDA) program. This program is intended for beginning software development and software engineering associates. CSDA is the first step towards becoming a Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP).

Who is eligible to take the CSDA?
While there are no formal requirements for the CSDA, the following are guidelines for recommended candidates:

  • Recent software or computer engineering graduates
  • Under-graduates who are in their final year of a bachelor's degree program in software or computer engineering
  • Non-degree professionals with more than 2 years of programming experience

Fees and Testing Information
The CSDA examination registration fee has two components: the application fee, which is nonrefundable and nontransferable, and the examination fee. All fees must be paid in US dollars, and checks must be drawn from a US bank.
