Attendees - Spring 2009 FS-ISAC Member Meeting and Conference

The FS-ISAC Spring 2009 event is the first conference that brings together both the awareness of existing threats, identification of existing risk management practices and recommended controls to improve the resiliency of an enterprise supply chain.

Financial services firms manage a complex supply chain that is core and essential to providing effective services for customers in the marketplace. Protecting the resilience of the supply chain is becoming increasingly challenging given the emerging threat models that focus on exploiting weaknesses through a sophisticated and organized network of adversaries. Security intelligence experts believe adversaries are focused on economic and market disruption and are likely to attempt to infiltrate the financial services supply chain for specific financial service institutions and recent incidents support this.

The Spring 2009 theme, "Building A Resilient Supply Chain," will serve to highlight the threats and security issues that could negatively impact operations and tarnish the public trust of financial services firms.

You will have an opportunity to:

  • Interact with recognized industry experts and understand their perspectives on effective controls and practices
  • Engage with your peers on practical implementation approaches and experience
  • Selectively target vendor solutions that will address the specific risks inherent in your company's supply chain
  • Hear Don Donahue, the Chairman and CEO of The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation describe his view on public/private partnership models essential to improving supply chain resiliency based on his expertise leading FSSCC
  • Listen to industry expert Dr.Gary McGraw share the results of breakthrough research on existing software security practices and how they have evolved
  • Participate in NDA Member Only sessions to share issues, ideas and best practices. This year's conference will focus on several member-led presentations which will focus on the Real World threats to financial services institutions and strategies for success
  • Attend an in-depth technical session on software security and a workshop on hardware security testing methods in addition to an update on regulatory requirements impacting the Supply Chain. One of the sessions will also feature vendor governance models and practices.

What you will learn from this first-of-its-kind conference will enable significant improvements to your risk management capabilities as they relate to protecting the resiliency of your firm's supply chain. And that is an opportunity you cannot afford to miss. So plan now to attend and mark May 4-6 in your calendar for the 2009 FS-ISAC Annual Spring Member Meeting and Conference.
